Rental Policy
Following are the terms aside from those mentioned on the Rental Agreement Rental Rates and charges:
We offer a minimum rental period of 24 hours and cars need to be returned at the same time, with two hours grace time, exceeding this may cause an extra day charge.
Terms of Payment: Avenue favours credit card payments for all car hires along with that a credit card block of Dhs 5,000 is required as security for insurance excess as well as traffic fines. In the case of Sports & Exotic cars, Dhs 10,000 will be charged.
Insurance: Avenue provides extensive insurance coverage for all car rentals including third party liability. To simply put across, if accident or damage is caused by the third party and the police accident report is green, in such situations, there will be no liability or charge. In all other cases of accident or damage, the minimum non-waiverable insurance excess will be credited to the customer depending on the type and value of cars. In the case of Sports and Luxury cars, the excess is Dhs10,000. In case of accidents, a valid police accident report must be presented for every damage, if not, the customer will be responsible to pay the full cost of damage. Scratches to the windshield, undercarriage and tires/rims are not covered by the insurance company, hence the customer is liable for the same.
Accidents: In case of accidents, police must be informed immediately, for which, hirers need to call on 999 for this purpose. As per UAE Laws & Regulations, the drivers are not allowed to relocate the cars, unless a Police Accident Report is received.
Restrictions: Cars are to be driven within the UAE township. Autodrome, Circuit, and driving offroad are not covered by the insurance company. The full charge of damages is sustained by the hirer at all times. Moreover, the hirer is completely responsible for the loss of hire if there is a violation of this term which will be charged @ daily rate.
Penalty for Traffic Offense: If such kind of fines is imposed for breaking traffic regulations and other laws during the rental period, we will charge with a 10% service charge per Traffic Offense.
Vehicle Replacement: Avenue provides 24 hours replacement services in case of accidents or breakdowns, but, replacement car may not be equal, but will be in a similar category, to the extent possible.
Prices: The cost we charge includes full service and maintenance. Ruins and excessive wear and tear of tyres and brakes are not included in the maintenance. The hirer is responsible to settle the replacement cost as per the dealer’s assessment to be provided.
Driving Licence: Hirers must maintain a regionally accepted driving licence, with a minimum of 1-year driving experience. In cases, when the hirer is on visit visa, he/she must hold a legitimate international driving licence. National licences are acceptable for GCC Nationals/ residents as well in situations where the hirer has the passport from a country whose nationals are granted entry permit upon arrival. In all cases of UAE residents, the hirer must have UAE driving licence.
Driver Documentation: We would need coloured copies of driving licence, passport, and credit card of the person driving the car.
Maximum free mileage: It is 250km/day, excess mileage consumption will be credited based on the type of cars. In the case of Sports & Luxury cars, maximum mileage allowed is 200km/ excess km @ Dhs20 will be credited.
Fuel charges: It is based on actual consumption.
SALIK: You will be charged@ Dhs 5 per passing on the toll of Salik Gate.
